At Silence Aloud, Inc., we believe in the power of compassion, community, and healing. Founded in 2006, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to uplifting, protecting, and empowering vulnerable children, adolescents, and young adults across Southern California. Our mission is to break the cycle of abuse, trauma, and systemic neglect through advocacy, mental health support, housing, education, and heart-centered care.
Founder's Bio
Keyneica “Key” Jones is the visionary behind Silence Aloud, Inc. Since founding the organization in 2006, she has remained a tireless advocate for youth empowerment and community transformation. A creative force and strategic leader, Key retired from a successful local government career in 2013 to fully dedicate herself to Silence Aloud’s mission.
With over 15 years of experience managing housing, economic, and community development initiatives—including more than $50 million in federal and state funding—Key brings deep expertise and heart to her leadership. She has worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other public agencies.
Her journey has included:

Administering large-scale housing and community revitalization programs

Supporting nonprofit and for-profit developers with construction and pre-development loans

Advocating for Riverside County’s unhoused populations
Key holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Chapman University and began her undergraduate journey at UC San Diego. She is also a small business owner, published author, poet, and passionate student of holistic wellness and healing arts. Whether she’s riding her motorcycle, camping, or mentoring youth, Key lives by the values of service, creativity, and transformation.
Our Story
What began as a grassroots effort to raise awareness about the sexual abuse of boys has grown into a dynamic, trauma-responsive agency offering a continuum of care for youth ages 13–25. We specialize in supporting those impacted by foster care, homelessness, abuse, trafficking, or involvement in the justice system - young people too often overlooked and underserved.

Our vision is clear: to create a ripple of healing that transforms individual lives and uplifts communities. We strive to offer a “no wrong door” approach, ensuring that every young person who reaches out to us is met with empathy, dignity, and a pathway to resilience
